Culet Jewellery - Lifetime Craftsmanship Warranty

Every Culet piece is individually crafted, hand-set and finished with care. We design jewellery to be worn and treasured for life, and we stand proudly behind the workmanship of every item we create.

Our warranty is designed to protect you against genuine manufacturing faults, not wear and tear from everyday life. All jewellery will naturally show signs of use over time — this is normal and part of the life of a well-loved piece.

Our jewellery is supplied in line with the Australian Consumer Law, which provides automatic guarantees regarding the quality and workmanship of goods.

If a piece is found to have a manufacturing fault, we will ensure it is repaired or replaced as required.

Culet Lifetime Manufacturing Warranty - Rings

This warranty applies to:

  • Engagement Rings

  • Wedding Bands

  • Custom & Signature Rings

Coverage:
Lifetime coverage on structural manufacturing faults.

Examples of manufacturing faults may include:

  • Casting flaws or porosity in the metal

  • Structural weakness or instability in the setting

  • Setting issues identified either at collection or during a service check

When a genuine manufacturing issue is confirmed, Culet will repair or replace the piece at no charge.

Fine Jewellery Warranty - Earrings, Bracelets, Chains & Pendants

These pieces carry a 2-Year Manufacturing Warranty from the date of completion.

This applies to:

  • Structural defects in the metal or assembly

  • Faults that become apparent early in wear

After 2 years, repairs are still available and will be quoted individually.

Diamonds & Gemstones — Coverage

All diamonds and gemstones are covered for the specifications agreed at the time of purchase (ie. grading, quality, origin, lab or natural).

Not Covered:

  • Chips, cracks, fractures, or breakages from impact

  • Loss of a stone caused by accidental force or bent claws

  • Surface wear on gemstones

  • Theft, loss or misuse

Even the hardest gemstones (including diamonds) can chip if knocked at a certain angle — this is not considered a manufacturing defect.

Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe your piece requires assessment:

  1. Contact us via our website or email with details and clear photos.

  2. We’ll advise the best method to return or drop off your piece.

  3. A $40 AUD return shipping deposit (or $200 AUD international) is required only if posting the item.

  4. Our jewellers will complete a full inspection.

  5. If the issue is confirmed as a manufacturing fault, we will:

    • Repair or replace your piece at no cost, and

    • Refund your postage deposit in full.

  6. If the issue is determined to be wear-related or accidental:

    • We will provide a repair quote before proceeding.

    • The shipping deposit simply covers the return of the item if you choose not to proceed.

Any work carried out by another jeweller will void the Culet Manufacturing Warranty.

What Is Not Covered under warranty (wear and tear)

Normal wear is expected with jewellery. The following are not covered:

  • Scratches, abrasions or dents in metal

  • Bent or worn claws from everyday use

  • Gemstone chips or cracks from impact

  • Discolouration caused by chemicals, perfumes, makeup or chlorine

  • Loss of stones from impact, catching, snagging or bending claws

  • Snapped chain links - from tension
  • Changes in metal finish (white gold rhodium may require replating over time)

These fall under standard jewellery maintenance.

Jewellery Care (Recommended)

To keep your jewellery secure and clean:

  • Remove your pieces when exercising, swimming, cleaning or gardening

  • Avoid exposure to chlorine, harsh cleaners and cosmetics

  • Store separately to prevent scratching

  • Book a professional clean and claw check annually

A simple rule:
Jewellery goes on last - and comes off first.
