Workmanship covered for life.
The Culét Promise

Craftsmanship warranty.

Every Culét piece is individually crafted, hand-set, and finished with care. We design jewellery to be worn and treasured for life, and we stand proudly behind the workmanship of every item we create. Our warranty protects you against genuine manufacturing faults — in line with the Australian Consumer Law — not wear and tear from everyday life.

What's covered

Manufacturing faults, covered.

All Culét jewellery is supplied in line with the Australian Consumer Law, which provides automatic guarantees regarding the quality and workmanship of goods. If a piece is found to have a genuine manufacturing fault, we'll repair or replace it as required — at no charge.

Rings — lifetime

Engagement rings, wedding bands, and custom or signature rings are covered for life against structural manufacturing faults — casting flaws, structural weakness, and setting issues identified at collection or during a service check.

Fine jewellery — 2 years

Earrings, bracelets, chains, and pendants carry a 2-year manufacturing warranty from the date of completion. This covers structural defects in the metal or assembly, and faults that become apparent early in wear.

Diamonds & gemstones

All diamonds and gemstones are covered for the specifications agreed at the time of purchase — grading, quality, origin, and whether the stone is lab-grown or natural.

Repair or replace, free

When a genuine manufacturing issue is confirmed, Culét will repair or replace the piece at no charge — and refund your return-postage deposit in full.

What's not covered — wear and tear

Normal wear is expected with jewellery and is not a manufacturing defect. Even the hardest gemstones (including diamonds) can chip if knocked at the wrong angle. The following fall under standard jewellery maintenance and are not covered by warranty — but we can quote any repair on request.

  • Scratches, abrasions, or dents in metal
  • Bent or worn claws from everyday use
  • Chips, cracks, fractures, or breakages from impact
  • Loss of a stone caused by accidental force, impact, snagging, or bent claws
  • Surface wear on gemstones
  • Snapped chain links from tension
  • Discolouration caused by chemicals, perfumes, makeup, or chlorine
  • Changes in metal finish — white gold rhodium may require re-plating over time
  • Theft, loss, or misuse
  • Any work carried out by another jeweller (voids the Culét manufacturing warranty)
Making a warranty claim

How it works.

If you believe your piece requires assessment, our jewellers will complete a full inspection and tell you exactly what we find.

From your hand to ours — step by step.

01

Get in touch

Contact us via our website or email with details and clear photos. We'll advise the best method to return or drop off your piece.

02

Return for inspection

A $40 AUD return shipping deposit ($200 AUD international) is required only if posting the item. This covers the return regardless of outcome.

03

Inspection & outcome

Our jewellers complete a full assessment. If a manufacturing fault is confirmed, we repair or replace at no cost and refund your postage deposit. If the issue is wear-related, we'll provide a repair quote before proceeding.

Care & longevity

A simple rule.

To keep your jewellery secure and looking its best: remove pieces when exercising, swimming, cleaning, or gardening; avoid exposure to chlorine, harsh cleaners, and cosmetics; store separately to prevent scratching; and book a professional clean and claw check annually.

Jewellery goes on last — and comes off first.

Common questions

A few quick answers.

Is the warranty transferable?+
Yes. If you pass on the piece (gift, inheritance), the warranty travels with it. Just let us know the new owner's contact details.
How do I prove the piece is genuine Culét?+
Every Culét piece is laser-inscribed with a serial number. We keep a permanent record of every piece we make — give us the serial and we'll have the full file.
What about insurance?+
We provide an independent valuation document with every piece, suitable for insurance purposes. We strongly recommend insuring pieces over $2,000 — our warranty covers craftsmanship, not loss, theft, or impact damage.
Are polishing, plating, and prong tightening covered?+
These are maintenance services rather than warranty items. White gold rhodium re-plating, professional polishing, and prong tightening on worn claws all fall under normal wear and are quoted individually. We recommend a professional clean and claw check annually.
Will repairs by another jeweller affect my warranty?+
Yes. Any work carried out by another jeweller voids the Culét manufacturing warranty. We're always happy to quote any repair you need.
