Made to last forever
Care for it like an heirloom.
A small amount of attention keeps fine jewellery looking the way it did the day you collected it. Here's everything you need to know — and the rest, we handle.
The two rules
Most damage we see comes from two things.
Do
- Take it off before bed, the gym, or anything physical
- Wash with warm soapy water once a week, soft brush
- Store each piece separately — diamonds scratch each other
- Bring it in for a check-up every 12 months
- Insure it. Most home policies cap jewellery at $1,500
Don't
- Wear it in chlorinated pools (eats away at the prongs)
- Apply lotions, sunscreen or perfume while wearing
- Use ultrasonic cleaners on prong-set diamonds
- Toss it in a drawer or pouch with other jewellery
- Try to fix loose stones at home — bring them to us instead
Weekly clean
The five-minute home clean.
Soak
Warm (not hot) water, a single drop of regular dish soap. Soak the piece for 10 minutes.
Brush
Soft-bristled brush — a baby's toothbrush is ideal — gently around the stones and under the setting.
Rinse
Rinse in clean lukewarm water. Block the drain first. Stones do come loose.
Dry
Pat dry on a soft lint-free cloth. Microfibre or chamois. Never paper towel — too abrasive.
Service schedule
When to bring it in.
Lifetime aftercare
Made once. Serviced for life.
Every Culét piece is welcome back to the workshop, whenever it needs us — five years from now, fifty years from now. Polishing, rhodium re-plating, prong tightening, ultrasonic cleaning, stone re-tipping. Whatever's needed to keep it looking the way it did the day you collected it, the same hands that made it will do.
